- Sir William Long of Kempston Bury, deceased, was owner;
- will of William Long of 3 Aug 1841 made his sons-in-law Robert Newland, Nicholas Fitzpatrick and Thomas Chandless and his friend Thomas Abbott Green his executors in charge of his estates and brewery until 29 Sep after his death;
- will of William Long left his brewery and malting business in St.Paul's, Bedford, and property concerned with it (except for land in Goldington afterwards disposed of and also parts subject to a contingent annuity of 50 to Benjamin Everett) to his daughter Mary Newland for life, remainder to Robert Newland for life, remainder to Bingham Newland, Augusta Newland and (i) the 3 children of Mary Newland, as tenants in common;
- will of William Long left an annuity of 50 to his clerk and book keeper Benjamin Everett, if he was no longer in the employ of the brewery; the annuity to be a rent charge on estates in Clifton and Shefford belonging to the brewery;
- Sir William Long died on 2 Nov 1841;
- Sir William Long's will proved in PCC on 22 Mar 1842;
- Mary Newland died on 15 Jun 1862 and was buried at Kempston;
- Robert Newland died on 12 Jul 1858 and was buried at All Saints', Hastings [Sussex];
- Benjamin Everett died on 12 Jul 1857 and was buried in Bedford Cemetery, the annuity having been paid until his death
