Jane Dunham is widow of Alfred Ansell Dunham who was born Silsoe, 22 June 1852. Enlisted in 3rd Hussars 1dec 1870 and served 12yrs. Married 19 March 1882 at Aldershot where resided 8mths. Dec 1882 went ot Bedford, stayed until Sept. 1885, then to Burton on Trent where lived when Alfred Dunham killed on railway 3 March 1886 No other settlement (ro & sp) 31 July 1886 Lexden and Winstree Union. Notice of abandonment of ro 18 Aug 1886 To AMpthill Union from Lexden and Winstree Union. Settlement of Jane Dunham and 2 children is at Silsoe. Particulars of Alfred Dunham: After discharge from 3rd Hussars went to 15, Cavendish St. Bedford and was married at St. Peter's church (sic?). Oct. 1885 went as railway porter on the Goods Dept. at Burton on Trent. Killed 3 March 1886. Widow and children returned to her father at Lager de la Hage (?) in this Union. Will you accept chargeability without ro? (L) 28 June 1886 To Ampthill Union from Lexden and Winstree Union. Encloses ro and sp (L) 5 Aug 1886 To Ampthill Union from Lexden and Winstree Union.
