    Mortgage from Elizabeth Cumming of Keysoe, widow of William Cumming, late of Aston Road, near Birmingham, carpenter, William Green of Keysoe, grazier and Ann Elizabeth his wife [formerly Ann Elizabeth Cumming], daughter of William Cumming, deceased to Benjamin Welstead of Kimbolton [Huntingdonshire], esquire Reciting - will of William Cumming of 23 Apr 1842 devising to his wife all his real estate in Biggleswade, Keysoe and Potton [land in Keysoe subject to an estate], after her death the property in Biggleswade and Potton devising to his daughter Ann Elizabeth Green; - codicil to the will of William Cumming of 30 Apr 1842 which did not affect the Biggleswade property; - death of William Cumming on 2 May 1842 and proof of his will on 26 Sep 1842 in PCC Witnessing Benjamin Wilstead lent £350 to Elizabeth Cumming and William and Ann Elizabeth Green at 5% on security of: (a) 8 and 9 Back Lane, Biggleswade, 8 now or late in occupation of Widow Gartin and 9 formerly in occupation of William Wilson and now of [blank] Huckle, bounded: to N partly by a messuage late of Rev.Robert Moore and occupied by Thomas Cole and partly by garden and premises of Thomas Hagger; to E by messuage of Thomas Ward in occupation of William Minks; to S by Back Lane; (b) two cottages [8 and 9] and well in Stratton Street in occupation of John Hankin and Thomas Stokes, bounded: to N by Stratton Street; to E by site of premises late of John Pryor and late in occupation of Elizabeth Tyre; to S by common passage to the well; (c) cottage with a slip of land in front known as 7 Stratton Street now or late in occupation of Thomas Cole, bounded: to N by 6 Stratton Street now or late of Rev.Prunatt[?] Knapp in occupation of William Mayes; to E by garden now or late of Thomas Hagger; to W by 8 Stratton Street; with free use of the well; (d) 3 roods of land in Potton, part of Windmill Field (a) to (d) being former property of Rev.Frogmore Cumming which, on his death in May 1820, was devised to his nephew William Cumming Clause: that the premises should be insured for £350 at Sun Fire Office
