    Letter thirteen(pages 39-41) From Abraham to brother William. Enquires after "little Blake" and "sister Caroline", also brother Jesse. Would like to hear from the Brickhill relatives and acquaintances. Writes of "cessation of farming operations and commencement of "Ace and Saw" work". A breach of contract on the part of the landlord of Waverley Park resulted in abandonment of estate. Had taken up the adjoining farm of Judge Montague on the bank of the Derwent opposite Hobart Town. Had been annoyed with threats of law suits from late landlord WAVERLEY, Wm MORGAN. Taken a new house(at £47)in town, close to the Chapel, built a workshop. Sons, Abm Edwin and Isaac Henry were working for him. Writes about his children. Alfred Barrett is at Bothwell, a Tutor; Abm Edwin is at the Saw and Axe; Isaac Henry in the drapery business. Thomas with Edwin in his workshop, Walter Perry[youngest]aged 6 years with sister Emma aged 9 and Laura Pullen at Sandy Bay. Isabella, aged 17 is expected to become the daughter-in-law of Mr MATHER.
