Copy Court Roll of the manor of Raunds Memorandum of Surrender out of court by Henry Ekins of Dean, yeoman, a customary tenant of the manor, to George III, Lord of the Manor, by the hands and acceptance of Henry Knighton and John Bates, two other customary tenants of the Manor, of several pieces or parcels of inclosed copyhold land in Raunds in Stow Way Field containing together 57 acs. called Barn Close, Dibdil Close, and Long Close being the copyhold part of an allotment (bounded on the S. by Hargrave Meer, on the N. by the road leading from Raunds to Hargrave, the W. by lands allotted to Sir William Langham and on the E. by land allotted to Thomas Flintham) made to HE upon the parliamentary inclosure of the parish of Raunds, which land is now in the tenure or occupation of Abraham Blott. General words clause specifies hedges, ditches, mounds, fences, ways, paths, passages, rights, members and appurtenances. The surrender is subject to payment to Mary Simpson of Bythorn (Hunts.) of £500 with interest secured on the premises by a conditional surrender dated 7 Oct 1800.
