Vauxhall Mirror including: - service held to rededicate the memorial plaques to those Vauxhall employees who died during WW1 & WW2 after a new memorial was constructed; - the new Vauxhall Cavalier launched at the Birmingham Motor Show; - Astras built at the Ellesmere Port plant being shipped to 18 countries while at Luton 60% of all production was for the export market; - Vauxhall achieved its best ever market share for the month of October; - the Luton Vauxhall Plant the first to use bar codes to speed up its material supply; - General Motors Europe President Lou Hughes opened the £190 million V6 engine plant at Ellesmere Port.
