    Vauxhall Mirror including: - reports that Vauxhall had knocked Ford off the fleet market top spot and that the Cavalier was the number one selling car in the UK; - the Saturn GM’s plan to capture the American small car market, was being tested at Millbrook. The design being a ground breaking new model planned to halt the increasing dominance of Japanese cars in the US; - Vauxhall oldest car completed its 40th run of the London to Brighton veteran car rally; - work started on a £20 million parts complex. At a ceremony carried out on the 6th of November Peter Lord Director of Vauxhall Parts and John Costin of GME P&A turned the first sod; - Louise Aitken Walker winning the Women’s World Rally Champion’s title in her Vauxhall Astra.
