Scope and Content
These files consist of admission forms (full name, address, telephone number, date of birth, religion, country of origin, previous school, any medical weakness, full name and relationship of legal guardian, brief details of home circumstances if not living with natural parents, lunch preference (school dinner, packed, or go home); emergency information, name and telephone number of family doctor.
In some cases record cards survive, which duplicate some of the information in the admission forms, but also can include the following; small colour photograph of pupil, nationality of parents, position in family, notes on home background and health affecting progress, early reactions to school, personality assessment, progress and test record, and duplicate school reports.
Access restricted under Data Protection legislation. Ex-pupils are permitted to see their own school admission data. Stored off site.
