    Copy Admission at General Court Baron of Manor of Goyes and Chamberleyns Bury in Dunton (Right Hon. George John Earl Spencer, Viscount Althorp and baron Spencer of Althorp, Lord) before Samuel Veasey, gentleman, steward. Presented that: - Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Arnold, late of Southill, victualler, deceased, was late a customary tenant of the manor for all copyhold messuage or tenement with orchard in Dunton formerly in tenure or occupation of William Winters, since of Thomas Arnold - EA after the death of TA, surrendered a cottage or tenement lately built on part of the land together with a piece of ground, then in occupation of Justus Folbigg on 18 May 1826 - EA had since died seised of the other part of the land and intestate, leaving her son James Arnold her heir at law At the court: - JA was admitted tenant at a yearly rent of 1/2 - immediately afterwards JA surrendered the premises in consideration of a mortgage of £60 at 5% interest granted by John Foster of Biggleswade, merchant
