Photocopy of Indenture by way of conveyance from William Foster of Norton [Hertfordshire], miller to Thomas Arnold of Milloe, Dunton , yeoman, for £41/9/9 of: (a) cottage or tenement commonly called Becocks with continued appurtenances in Milloe late in occupation of Mary Foster, widow, deceased (b) piece or parcel of ground adjoining (a) of one acre abutting: to E on the highway; to N land of the Lord of Dunton To hold to TA in fee simple. In the various standard covenants the name of the wife of William Foster is noted as being Dorothy. The opening to the indenture is drawn with obvious calligraphic skill
