Joseph Hurst, Denton (Nthants), yeo. Found gelding stolen from his stable with Wm.Bates, who bought it of Th.Tapp. The Informacon of Joseph Hurst of Denton in the County of Northampton yeoman, taken upon oath the sixth day of March Anno dni 1683/4 before Thomas Christie Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid This Informant saith that about the middle of January last, there was stolen from him out of his stable in Denton aforesaid, one fleabitten Gelding which hee found about a fortnight since, in the hands of Mr William Bates of Warden in this County taylor who told this Informant that hee bought the said Gelding of one Thomas Tap now a prisoner in the County Goale for 45s Tho Christie Joseph Hurst
