    Deposition:Lucie, wife of William Peddar, Stanbridge, yeo. 28 November 1683. Lost purse with 11s. 3d. from her pocket. Jn.Hoeman returned it. John Hoeman, Leighton Buzzard, baker. Saw Susan Farley pick L.Peddar's pocket and give purse to son Thos. J.H. took it from T., who cried out, and S.F. ran away. Susan Farley. Denies theft. Thomas Farley. His mother pulled gloves out of her pocket. He saw purse lying on the ground. The Informacion of Lucie Peddar the wife of William Peddar of Stanbridge in the County of Bedford yeom taken upon Oath before me Thomas Snagge Esqr, one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for this County of Bedford the 28 day of November anno dni 1683 This Informate sayth. That upon Tuesday the 27 day of the abovesd month of November at Leighton Buzzard shee did loose out of hir pocket hir purse havinge in it eleaven shillings and three pence And that it was noe sooner taken out of hir pocket but one John Hoeman came to hir and asked hir, have you not lost your money, looke in your pocket wheareupon shee felt in hir pocket and fownde shee had lost hir money and purse. And farther sayth not Tho Snagg The Informacion of John Hoeman of Leighton Buzzard in the sd Cownty of Bedford baker taken upon Oath before mee Thomas Snagge Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for this Cownty of Bedf the 28 day of November anno dni 1683 This Informate sayth. That upon Tuesday the 27 day of this instant month of November he did see Susan Farley take the purse of Lucie Peddar out of the pocket of hir the sd Lucie Peddar, in the market place of Leighton aforesd. And that he did alsoe see hir the sd Susan Farley give the sd purse to hir son Thomas Farley & that he the sd John Hoeman did immediately take the sd purse from the aforesd Thomas Farley. Wheareupon he the said Thomas Farley cryed out. Upon the hearinge whearofe, as the aforesd Informate supposeth, shee the sd Susan Farley the mother of Thomas Farley did run away. And further the Informate saith he fownd in the purse ten shillings and nyne pence and farther sayth not Tho Snagg The Examinacion of Susan Farley now prisoner in his Majesties Goale at Bedford taken before mee Thomas Snagge Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for this Cownty of Bedford the 28 day of November anno dni 1683 This Examinate sayth. That she had noe hand in takinge the purse out of Lucie Peddars pocket, neyther did she deliver the purse or money to hir son Thomas Farley, and further sayth not Tho Snagg The Examinacion of Thomas Farley the son of Susan Farley now prisoner in his Majesties Goale at Bedford. Taken before me Thomas Snagge Esqr one of his Majesties justices of the peace for this Cownty of Bedford the 28 day of November anno dni 1683 This Examinate sayth. That Susan Farley his mother pulled out hir gloves out of hir pocket, and that he did se a purse lying on the ground, and did take it up, but wheather theare was any money in it, or noe, he could not tell, and further sayth not Tho Snagg
