To John Luke Esqr Clerke of the Assize for the County of Bedford. Theise are to desire & authorize you to appeare for me Robert Chambers of Henloe in the sd County of Bedford yeoman at the next Assizes to bee holden for the same County to the Indictment there dependinge against mee for killing of hares conyes partridges & phesants & confesse the same indictment or by other the best wayes & meanes as you cann to discharge the same Indictment And this shall bee your warrant for so doing, Witnesse my hand the xxvth of July Ao xxxiiij Car Rs Scdi Annoque dni 1682.
