    Deposition:Valentine Curby, Bedford, comb maker, and Eliz. his wife. Pursued Eliz.Jones and found box of linen and lace stolen from their stall in Bedford market. The Informacon of Valentine Curby of the towne of Bedford combmaker and Elisabeth his wife taken uppon theire oathes this two and twentieth day of October in the yeare of our Lord 1681. These Informants say that they had feloniously taken from them this day from theire stall in Bedford Markett one wainescott box and in it severall peeces of bone lace severall peeces of pointworke lace, bands cravatts, capps and severall other peeces of linnen, And the hee the said Valentine Curby missing the said goodes pursued a woman now in custody who saith that her name is Elisabeth Jones and that shee is the wife of Edward Jones of Pisford in the County of Northampton Cutler, and found his said box and goodes abovemenconed in the custody of the said Elisabeth Jones And further saith not.
