Deposition:Elizabeth, wife of Edw.Jones, Pisford, (Northants), cutler. 22 October 1681.Denies theft of lace and linen in box from Val.Curby; her husband gave her the box. The Examinacon of Elisabeth the wife of Edward Jones of Pisford in the County of Northampton Cutler This Examinant being charged with the felonious takeing of a box and in it severall peeces of bone lace severall peeces of point worke lace, lace bands, cravatts, capps, and severall other peeces of linnen being the goodes of Valentine Curby of the towne of Bedford combmaker doth utterly deny the same and saith that her husband gave her the said box with what is in it this day at a house in Bedford (which she doth not know) And further saith not.
