Calendar of Prisoners in the County Gaol. 1682. John Aman and Ann Aman Remaine in Goale for not finding Sureties for their good behaviour and not paying their fine. Peeter Clarke and John Cole Comitted the 6th of August 81 by John Napier Baronett & Charged with the felonious stealing of a Mare and Suspition of Breaking a house. Thomas Backer Henery Jylsop & Elizabeth Jylsop Comitted the 16th of August 81 by Tho Snagg Esqr & Charged with the felonious stealing one Kettle one sheet & one Boardcloth. William Smith Comitted the 10th of December 81 by John Napier Baronett upon suspition of fellony. John Newland Comitted the 27th of December 81 by St John Tompson Esqr for Breaking open the house of Edmund Greene of Ampthill Draper & taking away six pounds seventeene shillings of Gold & silver. Roger Wicksee and John Hull Comitted by John Ventris Esqr and charged as suspitious of being Pickpocketts and to have feloniously taken the sum of Tenn shillings & six pence with a purse out of the pockett of John Warren of Hawnes. Jeremiah Marling William Athe & John Jefford Comitted the 15th of February 81 for breaking open the shop of one John Proctors of Leborne in the County of Bucks and for going into the shop of Richard Leach the yonger of Laighton & taking Eight pounds of hempe out of his Warehouse. William Richardson & William Allen upon Assize prosses the 11th of February 1681.
