    Deposition:Robert Long. 18 September 1680 Thos. Grimes and Ric. Smith bid him stand and deliver on the road from Woburn to 'Frorwell'. They took 2s. 6d. from him and whipped away his horse. The Information of Robt Long taken before me George Abbott one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said County at Shepingley this 18th day of September Anno Dom 1680 upon his oath. This Informant saith that upon the Road from Wooburn to Froxwell between eight and nine of the Clock at night on Tuesday last being alone He was Robbed by Thomas Grimes hear present and one Richard Smith of Millbrook as this Informant upon his Inquiry found his name to be That Smith bid him stand and deliver his money & Grimes said come come give us your money, That Grimes felt in his pocket and took out a shilling and a sixpence haveing received a shilling before from this Informant upon his first Demand, That Rich Smith ungirt his horse and turn'd this Informant's leg over and whipt away his horse, That the next day he found his horse in Ridgmont parish.
