    Deposition: Margery Dyer, Battlesden, servant to Thos. Quinney. 1680 Saw Fra.King steal a money bag from pocket of Jn. Collins. Later the bag was found empty in the same room. The Informacon of Margery Dyer of Battlesden in the said County of Bedford taken upon oath the 22th day of January Anno dni 1679 before me St John Thomson Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said County of Bedford, as followeth This Informant saith, that shee did see Francis Kinge sittinge by one John Collins, whoe leaned his face, upon his handes on the table and that the said Kinge turned downe a joyn'd stoole on the lowest flatte side untill he sate even with John Collins his pockette, & then did clap Collins on the shoulder, with his hand, and made a loud noise, sayinge, Master you and I have beene merry together, and then did see the said Kinge put his hand under his coate, and fimbled aboute Collins his pockette, and then shee reached the candle to her, to observe what he the said Kinge did, but he thrust the candle from her, and shee did see the said Kinge pull twoe pulls, at the said bagge and soe puld it out of Collins his pockette, and that she beinge affrighted at it, ranne and told her Master Quinney, and that she found the bagge in the same roome, but shee knowes not whether there was any money in it or not, for she felt none, and further saith not St John Thomson
