(iv)Bargain and sale (copy) Messrs John Lock of Shefford, brewer and Robert Johnson of Shefford, glazier, executors of the will of Joseph Adams of Shefford, brewer, dec. to The Revd Montague Earl Welby of Long Bennington, Lincoln, clerk for £470,11 Apr 1837. (v)Absolute surrender John Earle Welby of Allington hall, Grantham, Lincs., Esq to John Street of Langford, market gardener, - house building and croft (as in toft referred to in 1-4 above) and adjoining Bulls Close remainder of and being part freehold and part copyhold. Includes plan.22 June 1876. (vi)Conditional surrender John Street of Langford, market gardener, to Thomas Gorham Pierson of Hitchin Esq in pursuance of a mortgage of the 5th July 1876 between John Street and John Bond. - part or parts of the land and hereditaments delineated on the plan drawn in the margin of a certain absolute surrender from John Earle Welby to the said John Street.1 Jan 1883. (vii)Conditional surrender John Street to Arthur S Wade Gery of Shefford, gent. for securing £629 - piece of ground (formerly pasture but now arable) at Flexmore End containing by estimation 2 ac 2 r but by measurement 3 ac (see X 836/6/14) - Toft whereon a customary messuage or tenement with garden and one close or enclosed piece of land formerly pasture but now arable and commonly called Town End Close adjoining to the said toft (see X 836/6/34) - Customary messuage and malting with the close of pasture called Home Close and orchards thereunto adjoining, and piece or parcel of land in Cow common of 2 ac 3 r 13 p (see X 836/6/54) - Copyhold of all that house, buildings, croft and premises called Bull's Close.
