    Copy letter addressed from 8 St. John's Street, Bedford to The Manager, Ministry of Labour and National Service, Armed Forces Section, The Crofton Rooms, St. Cuthberts Street, Bedford… 'Mr. S.S. Bell. B.G.S. 5708. I thank you for your letter for the 12th. Inst. And in reply :- 1. Mr. Bell is my butcher and cutter. He cuts up all the meat and served all customers for meat. His only other duty is to assist, if necessary, by giving a hand in small goods. His main occupation is that of a Butcher and Cutter. 2. I boy aged 17. I girl aged 17. The boy is an errand boy and assists with the rough work. The girl helps in the shop. 3. I am engaged in the business. I manufacture all unrationed goods, attend to the buying, account, assist in the shop, and manage the business generally. I myself am a Pork Butcher only'.
