Meeting notes of the Sites and Building Sub-Committee Agenda item No 5. The former owner of the land required ( Lt.-Col M.E.G.R. Wingfield) put a Covenant on the land not to be used for any other purpose than for agriculture or private dwelling houses without his permission. Wingfield Estate to be contacted seeking consent to the use of this land for the erection of school buildings, playground and for playing field purposes.
Should consent be withheld the County Council would acquire the land compulsorily. 26/11/1965.
