    Deposition:Richard Smith Woburn, servant to Hen Baduly, innholder. Saw the cup and a flagon standing on a bench in the yard, but does not now what became of them. The Information of Richard Smith of Woburne in the County of Bedd servant to Mr Baduly of Woburne aforesaid Inholder taken upon oath third day of October Anno dni 1678 before mee St John Thomson Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said County This Informant saith that on Monday the last day of September last past his said Master and one Mr Earle were drinking Buttered Ale in the yard of his said Master and that hee saw a flagon and silver cuppe then stand on a bench in the said yard, and that when the said Mr Earle and his Master went thence away, the said Mr Earle pointed to the said cuppe and flagon and bid one Mary Gray that then attended on them have a care of her thinges there, and gave her a groate, And afterwards this Informant standinge at the stable doore, saw the said cuppe and flagon stand upon the said bench in the said yard but what became of them this informant knoweth not.
