    Probate of the will & codicil of Benjamin Noakes late of Britannia Place, Wandsworth, Surrey, gentleman, deceased. - 'Sworn under One thousand pounds and that the Testator died on the 5th April 1841'. - 'Presented at a General Court Baron holden for the Manor of Brede on the 30th day of November 1842'. - Proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. Including extract of will dated 6th Mar 1841: Directing & Bequeathing: - Household furniture and goods to my wife Philadelphia Noakes for her natural life; after decease to my daughter Mary Weekes Young the wife of Charles Young of Wandsworth Road, linen draper. - All freehold, copyhold & leasehold property with attached debts, annuities & mortgages to Thomas Young of 19 Tomas Street, Horselydown, Surrey, esquire in trust to pay any income arising to my wife for her natural life; after her decease an annuity of £8 (granted to use by an indenture dated 26th Dec 1825 between Edward Stocks and myself) unto my son James Noakes; one moiety of residue of profits unto daughter Mary Weekes Young for her natural life; after her decease Thomas Young to stand possessed and unto all children of said Mary; remaining moiety at decease of wife unto son Benjamin Noakes. Appointing Thomas Young sole executor. Witnessed by Henry Martin of 45 London Street, Fitzroy Square & Frederick August Samson of 7 Britannia Place, Wandsworth Road. Codicil dated 6th Mar 1841 whereby a yearly annuity of £36 granted to me by Rev. Thomas Barringer formerly of Bedford is to be reduced to £10 as the said Thomas is unable to continue with such payments. - Witnessed by Henry Martin & Frederick August Samson.
