    Deposition: William Sharpe, Woburn lab. 25 May 1678. Sold 2 ewes and lambs at Leighton Buzzard, for his brother Jn. Sharpe. 1 couple was bought from Th. Sharpe and the other from Jerimiah Sharpe. John Sharpe, Woburn, lab. The ewes and lambs were his own. He drove them to Leighton the previous Monday. The Examinacon of William Sharpe of Woburne in the County of Bedd labourer taken on the 25th day of May Anno Dni 1678 before me St John Thomson Esqr one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said County This Examinant saith that hee did sell twoe Ewes & lambes for his brother John Sharpe on Easter Tuesday last at Laighton Bussard in the said County not in the Markett but in Francis Colletts yard (as they told him and for ought this Examinant knoweth his Brother John Sharpe did drive them thither, And that one of the couples hee bought of his brother Thomas Sharpe and thother of the couples hee bought of his brother Jeremiah Sharpe St John Thomson The Examinacon of John Sharpe of Woburne in the County of Bedd labourer taken the 25th day of May anno dni 1678 before me St John Thomson Esqr one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said County This Examinant saith that the twoe Ewes and lambes which his brother William Sharpe sold on Easter Tuesday last were his own, but that he drave none on the Tuesday to Laighton; but a Strangers twoe sheepe (whome he knew not) as he was going to Laighton aforesaid, but on the Moonday before Easter Tuesday hee did drive thither his owne couples; St John Thomson
