Deposition: John Knight, Olney (Bucks), 'his cours of lively hood hath bin practice of physick'. 16 February 1678.
The 2 mares were bought by him from one Brown and one Boswell. One he pawned at Red Lion, Hempstead. The Examination of John Knight of Oney in the County of Bucks taken before mee the 16th day of February Ano Dni 1677 at Stepingley in the County of Bedford This Examinat sayth His Cours of Livelyhood hath bin practice of physick. That he bought the bay mare of One Brown of "Hessham" within two miles of Newport in the County of Bucks for 3li 10s O He sayth as for the other Mare he Bought hir of one Boswell A Haberdasher of hatts that liveth over against Whitechappel Church London, & Confesseth that he pawnd hir at the Red lyon Inn neer Hempsted in Hartfordshr Geo Abbott
