    Deposition: Francis Collier, Chalgrave, yeoman, Lost black gelding out of his grounds. Went with Richard Morgan to Smithfield to look for it; met ThomasMorgan. ThomasMeakes said T.Morgan said his brother sold a horse in Smithfield, and that he (T.Morgan) would send Meakes the saddle and bridle. The Informacon of Francis Collier of Chalgrave in the County of Bedford yeoman taken upon Oath before me Sr John Duncombe Knt one of his Maties Justices of the peace for the said County of Bedford the 15th day of June Anno Dni 1677 This Informt sayth that on the thursday night before Whitsontide last he saw his blacke Gelding (a throughpaced Nagg about 14 hands high with a Notch in his offe Eare) in his groundes, and that at 4 of the clocke the next morning he missed him out of his said grounds, and that soone after on the same day being fryday he this Informt together with one Richard Morgan his neighbour went to London to seeke his said horse in Smithfeild (supposing he might be stolen) And that at the Bell Inne in Aldersgate Street about three a clocke in the afternoone of the same day there came unto them one Thomas Morgan and Joyned company and they dranke together; And this Informt further sayth that one Thomas Meakes did affirme in the presence of the said Thomas Morgan that he the said Thomas Morgan did tell him his Brother had sold a horse in Smithfeild and left the Bridle and Saddle with him, and that he the said Thomas Morgan did say he would send the said Bridle and Saddle to him the said Thomas Meakes: And further this Informt sayth not.
