    Deposition: John Homan. Leighton Buzzard. 9 March 1671. Saw Daniell Roberte at Woburn Market with his hand in the pocket of Chris.Berkeley of Potsgrove. He struck Roberte, who ran away. Saw him again at Ailsbury and Leighton markets, and drove him away. The information of Jn Homan of Laighton Budizart, Beds, baker taken before Fra. Wingate and St. John Thomson Esqs, J.P.s March 9th, 1670 Who sayth that about halfe a yeare since he see one Daniell Roberts of Wooburne Market in the county of Beds. And that hee did then see the sd. Daniell Roberts have his hand in the pocket of one Christopher Beckley of Potsgrove Beds., whereupon this informant did give him two or three blowes with his sticke, and that the sd. Daniell did immediately run away from him, not saying anything to this inf. for the blowes he gave him; and this inf. further sayth that on the morrow he see the sd. Dan. Roberts at Alisbury Market in the county of Bucks and being amongst a crowd of people in the market hee told him that hee came thither for noe good; and withall gave him some blowes with his Whip; and about a month after hee see the same Daniell Roberts, at Laighton Market in the county of Beds with a man and woman, which he this informant supposed to be of his company; where he gave him two or three boxes on the eare and beat of his hat who was running away without it, but this inf. tooke it and threw it after him, and in the meane time the man and woman was gotten out of his sight. And further this inf deposeth not.
