    Deposition: Chris. Whittmore Flitton 23 Sept. 1669. Constable of Flitton : arrested Warner, but he escaped and was recaptured a fortnight later The information of Christopher Whitamore of Flitton Beds., taken upon oath before me Fra. Wingate Esq., J.P. on the same day. Who sayth that he being Constable of Flitton aforesaid, he had a warrant directed to him for the apprehending of one William Warner of his said parish, upon suspition of the felonious breakeing open the dwelling house of one George Martin of Westoning in the County of Bedford aforesd. labourer, and carrying away certaine money and other goods out of the same; And he this informant haveing according to the warrant apprehended him, it being neare night, he caused him to be watched, that night, but about Midnight he made an escape from his keepers; And about a fortnight after he this informant did apprehend him againe, and did bring him before me, where being commanded to search him, he found about him part of the money and goods which the sd. George Martin did say he had lost cut of his house. And further this informant deposeth not.
