    Deposition: Geo. Martin, Westoning, labourer 23 Sept. 1669. Theft (as presentment 15) found cap of William Warner near house. The information of George Martin of Westoning in the County of Beds. labourer taken upon oath before me Fra. Wingate Esq., J.P. on the 23rd Sept, 1669. This informant saith that on Sunday the 12th day of this inst. September he being from home, had his house broken open and had feloinously taken out of his said house certaine linnen and other goods, and about six shillings in money and one Guilt ring, and this informant saith what neare the wall which was broken down, he found a cap, which cap he carryed to William Warner's of Flitton, whom he suspected to have broken open his house, where he shewed it to his children, who said it was their father's cap, and the said William Warner being thereupon taken upon suspition, and searched, there was found about him three new shillings, one Guilt six pence, a spanish threepence, a twopence. a single penny and an halfe penny, and alsoe a knife & sheath and a ring which he this informant saith were part of the money and goods, which were taken out of his house. And further this informant Deposeth not.
