Confesses theft of sheep Examination of Andrew Impey of Laighton in the County of Beds,labourer taken the Second day of January, 1668 (English stile). This examinant being charged with the stealing one Sheepe out of a backe Close of Edmund Osmonds at Laighton in the County of Bedford victualler being the goods of Sir Richard Napier of Edsworth, Middx. saith that on Thursday last in the night time betweene the howers of twelve and one of the clocke hee this examinant did feloniously take away one sheepe out of a close lying on the East side of the house of Edmund Osmond in Laighton aforesaid which Sheepe being searched for by the said Edmund Osmond was found in his this examinant's custody the day after at his house in Laighton aforesaid.
