John Wilson, Dostrop (Northants) 27 May 1668.
Stole from the Great Dole field, Hamerton (Hunts) cattle, and drove them to L.B. market on Tues. 26 May. The Examination of John Wilson of Dostrop, Northants taken the 27th of May 1668 before me St. John Thomson Esq., one of his Majesties J.P.s at Woburn. This examinant saith that upon Sunday night last being the 24th day of May instant hee did steale out of the grounds of Sir Francis Compton Bart., lying in Hamerton in the county of Hunts called by the name of the Great Dole five runts or steares and one cow and from thence did drive them to Leighton Market in the county of Beds aforesd. where he was taken selling the the said cattle on Tuesday the 26th day of the said month of May.
