    Deposition: Henry Tansley, Great Paxton, labourer 7 May 1668 . Mary Cambers left child in close in Great Paxton. The information of Henry Tansley of Great Paxton, Hunts., labourer, taken May 7th, 1668. This Informant saith that a woman (now in the Gaol at Bedford) called by the name of Marie Cambers was at Great Paxton aforesd uppon Tuesday last was a fortnight about sun setting with a bundle under her arme in a red blanket and that the day following hee saw the said blanket with a child in it at Great Paxton aforesaid which child was lefte in a close in the parrish of Paxton aforesaid as Richd Bamforth tould this Informant who tooke up the sd child being the child now brought by him this Informant to Bedd to be there kept as the child of the said Marie Cambers & further saith not Taken & acknowledged before us the marke of Francis Beckett major, William Foster, Henry Tansley.
