Employee Magazines The company published magazines for its workers under different titles. 'Queen's Engineering Works Magazine' was published annually in January 1904-39 and was sent to employees and ex-students. 'The Allen Magazine' 1948-1966 was sent to every member of the works and offices, Bedford Pensioners and members of the organisation worldwide. 'The Allen Link' later the 'APE Link' and the 'NEI/APE Link'. 1966-1990s. The 'W H Allen Newsletter' 1994-? As well as detailing developments in the company's products and in the world of engineering generally they include reports on the travels of the chairmen, personal matters for the staff including sporting events and hobbies etc.
