    Including: - Formal offer from J.C. Manning dated 25th July 1963. Including press cuttings relating to direction finding devices and the newly designed rotating beacon. - Receipt from Imperial War Museum dated 26th July 1963...'The two charts showing the course taken by the U-Boats surrendering to Harwich, the orders issued to them from the soldiers council and the translation of the documents by Dr. G.H. Fowler are a most interesting collection themselves. The radio direction charts are also of much interest, especially as we have none similar in the library record already. In fact the whole collection is a more most valuable and useful addition to our archives for which I am most grateful to you'. - Letter from the Imperial War Museum dated 8th Sep 1966 accepting more deposits from the collection of Dr. G.H. Fowler via. J.C. Manning. Further deposits include a German naval chart of the Dutch Coast dated 1909 and relics salved from three German Airships (Zeppelins). Includes transcripts of reports compiled by the Intelligence Section, General Headquarters, Home Forces relating to the part the three airships played in raids on Britain.
