  • Title
    Agreement as to the amount of compensation payable in respect of manorial incidents. Parties: (i) The master, fellows and scholars of Trinity College, Cambridge University. (ii) The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. (iii) Annie Louisa May Shepherd of Stotfold, Beds, widow. (owner of (a-b)) Reciting: - Manorial incidents in respect of (a-b) were extinguished on 1st Jan 1836 in virtue of section 138 (1) (c) of the Law of Property Act 1922. - (i) and (iii) have agreed on the compensation to be paid in respect of mineral and other rights preserved to the lords. - (i) and (iii) agree and (ii) gives his consent in exercise of his power under the Universities and College Estates Act 1925 that compensation should amount to 85/7/7 in order to extinguish manorial incidents affecting (a). Operative: In consideration of 85/7/7 paid by (iii), (i) as beneficial owner conveys all rights the lords had at (a) to (iii). Property: Same as (a-b) at Z1116/2/14 but with a slightly different description: (a) Messuage or tenement (then occupied as two tenements) with garden, farm yard and buildings at Mill Lane, Stotfold. (b) Enclosure of pasture belonging to (a) of 1a 3r 32p. The property at (a-b) became vested in (iii) under the will of Cordwell Westrope Shepherd deceased who died on the 26th Oct 1925 and had his will proved by (iii) on the 6th Mar 1926. Habendum: To hold unto (iii) in fee simple. Seal of (i) and (ii) affixed.
