Details of works: building 212' long, 20' wide, 30' high; covered with lead, and a rail & balusters round it, a turret or cupola in the middle; 1st floor oak, next floor deal, garret deal & elm; all to be glazed with new glass, except the kitchen court of old glass; all to be finished by 31 July 1676: 2,500, and all the old materials belonging to the old house; old rails & balusters of bridge; little oven to be made in the Hill House, and stairs out of the old building to the new. (Note: a Hill House at this date.)
