Two small books, handwriting not recognised, n.d., early C18? One has 19 recipes, mostly for cakes or sweet dishes, obtained from Lady Midleton, Lady Colladone, Mrs. Toaere, Mrs. Rossenhagen, Mrs. Clayton, Mrs. Dell (of Flitwick), Mrs. Cocks, Lady Glottonly. The other (from which some pages have been torn out) has 60, grouped, there being several for meat, fish or sauces: e.g., sauce for a cod's head, to bake rabbits, to stew a carp, white pease soup; no source for recipes given.
