Typescript poem, in the style of Longfellow's Hiawatha by H.F.Sharman, Bedford solicitor and friend of the Twamleys, the poem begins:
You shall hear how, late in August,
When the skies were dark and stormy,
To the gates of Bantardawa
Smoothly rolled the polished Wolseley
Bantadarwa was the name of the Twamleys' house at 7 Shakespeare Road, Bedford and the poem tells of a trip to Cambridge on 25 Aug 1924 to Broughton and Phyllis Twamley. The poem is addressed to Beatrice [Emma Twamley] 1925
