Anthony Benn (c1568-1618) was a barrister, appointed recorer for the town of Kingston upon Thames in 1610, knighted in 1615 and appointed recorder of London in 1616. He died in 1616. Anthony had at least two children Charles (b1608) and Amabella (1616-1698). Amabella may have married first Mr Dowse. She then married Anthony Fane, son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and finally Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent.
