Gravenhurst, Tewellsbury, Bryansbury, Bovills, Shephoe, Henlow, Meppershall, Over Stondon, 160 messuages, 100 tofts, 6 mills, 20 dovecotes, 1,000 gardens, 50 orchards, 6,000 a. arable, 2,000 a.meadow, 3,000 a. pasture, 600 a. wood, 3,000 a. furze and heath, 20 rents, view of frankpledge, free warren and Ouse fishery in Blunham, Mogerhanger, Bedford, Willington, Sandy, Girtford, Tempsford, Everton, Harrold, Thurleigh, Riseley, Felmersham, Milton Ernest, Clapham, Flitton, Brogborough, Silsoe, Clophill, Pulloxhill, Maulden, Ur. & Lr.Gravenhurst, Ion, Henlow, Meppershall, Or. Stondon, Lr. Stondon & Shillington; with advowsons of Blunham; 18 a. copyhold in Ur. Gravenhurst; and lands there called Shrine or Shrive rents cont. 40 a. once of the Abbot of Ramsey; and a mansion house of St. Thomas Chapel manor in Meppershall, formerly of Chicksands Priory; lands of Polehanger manor in Meppershall and Campton; also once Chicksands Priory; all lands once Chicksands in Meppershall late occ. Tho. Spencer; all farms and granges of Woodhall Grange in Meppershall, once possession of Warden Abbey; 1 messuage, 1 garden, 1 orchd. & 24 a. pasture in Over Stondon, purchased of Matt. Lawrence, held of them in chief; manor of Over Stondon held in free socage; Trinity Term, 1601; in return for 12 Winche, Golding, Power and Hill (and by virtue of letters patent of present king) are free from penalties for above recovery; seals: (ii and iii tag only) of King's officials as above.
