Star Chamber: Kent v. Rotheram & Dethyck.
p. 1-3 traces descent;
3-7 Geo. Rotheram of Luton esq. with herald's help has put forward
a claim to be heir-general of Edmund, Earl of Kent. Robt. Cooke,
late Clarenc., refused, but Wm. Dethyck, Carter, has 23 Ap.1594
given a pedigree deriving Geo.'s descent from Kath., eldest dau.
of Anth., e.s. of Edm., Earl of Kent.
11. The Earl of Kent maintains that Anth. d. without issue. Edm.
however had a dau. Anne who m. Jn., Lord Grey of Wilton, and
their dau. Cath. m. Thos. Rotheram.
