(b)'s adoption of surname of Weddell. Rec. of death of his s.
Thos. Weddell in 1756 a bachelor, and his own death as a
widower in 1762, survivor 2nd. s. Wm. Weddell who suffered
Common Recovery of estate Michaelmas 1765. Rec. of 20/62. Rec.
of will of Wm. Weddell of 30 May,1789 - Manor of Wigglesworth
and estate in Little Newton and Long Preston to use of Hen.
Dunscombe and Jn. Parker for 500 yrs. on trust to use of
son(s) of Wm. Weddell in tail with redr. to use of dtrs. as
tenants in common with cross redrs. btwn. them with redr. to
testator's w. Eliz. for life with redr. to (i)'s father Lord
Grantham & his hrs. male. Wm. Weddell d. in 1792 - no issue.
Wife entered into possession of estate acc. to 20/62. (i)'s
father Lord Grantham died 20 July, 1786. Eliz. Weddell d. 11
July 1831. (i) desirous of recovering estate.)
(i) - (ii) -- manors of Arnforth, Leppington, and Barthorpe and lands
there in Scuminham als. Scrayingham & Acklam
manor of Wigglesworth with rents, mess., mills and lands
there and in Hellifield, Giggleswick, Little Newton, and

acreages of arable, meadow and pasture.)
