Sawley; Bracewell; site of dissolved monastery of Salley. 300 mess., 20 mills, 600 gdns., 5000 a land, 3000 a. meadow, 5000 a. pasture, 400 a. wood, 300 a. furze and heath, 200 a. of land covered with water, 20 rent, common of pasture, common of turbary, common of estovers, with courts, markets, and fairs etc. in above places and Skelton, Bishop Monkton, Longthorpe Kirkby, Hill with Longthorpe, Burrowbridge, Ellingthorpe, Humbarton, Cundall, Baldersby, Asenby, Winksley, Littlethorpe, Newbiggin, Alne Huntington. Heworth, Strensall, Wigglesworth, Mitton, Giggleswick, and Grindleton, with tithes of Mulwith, Baldersby, Clifton, Branton and Bracewell, and the advowson of Bracewell (i) became entitled as eldest son of Lord Grantham on his death and deaths of Sir Norton Robinson Bt. and Wm.
