Cadwell of Willington, husb. -- the manorhouse or mansion-house of Thurleigh; buildings adjoining; closes:- Reed beds, 11 ac.; Thyllands, 34 ad.; Bassyngborne, 28 ac.; Park Field close, 50 ac., late occ. John Darling; Crow Yard pightle, 2 1/2 ac.; Hyxe close, 34 ac.; Watts valley, 4 ac.; old Layghton, 3 ac.; 26 ac. meadow; 233 ac. arable in the common fields of Thurleigh. -- Wood and underwood are excepted. Tenant is to do repairs, and shall keep the arable lands sufficiently compassed with dung and in good heart; he covenants not to plough up Thyllands close, nor any more of Park Field, but only the part which hath been ploughed within the last 20 yrs.; he may lop for fencing purposes any any trees which have been lopped. He is to build a barn 20' wide internal measurements, which is to have 5 bays, each bay 14' long at least; and the Earl will allow him timber for it. He may occupy the Earl's waste land now occupied by Anth. Julyan; either paying Anth. Julyan for the house he has built thereon, or letting him take it away. Witnesses: Ben.
