  • Title
'Proposal for making good the deficiency of the late Duke's personal estate'. By the marr. sett. of Phil. Yorke & Jemima, 1740, an Act was to be passed, and the surplus of the Duke's estate to be used to buy lands (of. 26.vi.36); but there will in fact be a deficiency. It is therefore proposed that the Act should empower selling or mortgaging the Hereford estate to make good the deficiency; and that the settled estate should be made liable as security for Phil. Yorke's annuity (if Jemima die first) & portions for younger children.
