  • Title
Letter from Jn. Greene of Ampthill to Messrs. Lumley & Co., solrs., 18 Carey St., London. Answered queries on Sharp's title in a hurry. Now thinks Earl de Grey is only lessee of the presentation to the vicarage of Pulloxhill and that the Masters and Fellows of St. John's College, Oxford are the Lay Rectors and have the presentation in fee 'and they hold their estate at Pulloxhill under Ancient Inclosure in lieu of their right to the Great Tithes.' Emphasizes, however, that Sharp's estate is free of tithes.
