    Conveyance (L. & R.) 2981-2-4d. (i) Rt. Hon. Robt. Henley Ongley, Lord Ongley of Ireland (ii) Jn. Clementson Esq., par. of St. Margaret, Westminster; and Wm. Mann, the Middle Temple, gent. (Trustees). (Rec. Sir Sam. Ongley of London died seized of manor of Vintners with mansion house and lands app. in par. of Bexley, Maidstone, and Detling in Kent. Will dated 12 June 1725 - all freehold lands to nephews Nicholas Godschall, London, merchant and Robt. Henley, par. of St. Clement Danes, Mddsx., gent. on trust: to use rents for debts, legacies & funeral charges; to allow neph. Sam. Ongley of London, gent. (late of Old Warden) to take rents etc. & all his hrs. male, in default of such issue, to allow neph. Robt. Henley & testator's neice Ann Henley his w. to take rents for their lives. After their dec. s. of R. & A. Henley, Jn. Henley to take rents etc. & his hrs. male - in default to their 2nd. s. Sam. Henley & hrs. male - in default etc. to 3rd. s. Robt. Henley for life & hrs. m. If neph. Sam. Ongley dies without a son & lands come to Robt. Henley (the father) & his sons and he or they refuse to take the name of Ongley, or if all sons of Robt. Henley pere die without sons, then lands to go to persons named in a codicil. Rec. Sir Sam. Ongley died in 1726. Rec. Sam. Ongley d. without male issue; R. & A. Henley decd. & their sons Jn. & Sam. Henley died unmarried. 3rd s. R. Henley now Robt. Lord Ongley & has two sons Robt. Henley & Sam. Henley Ongley - both minors. Rec. of will of testator's neph. Sam. Ongley of 7 December 1727 & republished 4 February 1736/7. Gave his estate to w. Anne Ongley, and died in 1747. Rec. of will of Anne Ongley, widow of S. Ongley of 15 May, 1749. Left estate to her neice Eliz. Harvey & neph. Sam. Harvey to be shared equally (provisions for default of issue of either). If neither neice nor neph. has issue estate to go to 3 nephews - Jn., Jas., & Edmund Harvey & hrs. to be shared equally as tenants-in-common. Rec. Sam. Harvey & Jas. Harvey dead sine prole; Eliz., Jn., and Edmund Harvey still alive. Rec. of 12/146. (ii) on payment of 2693-19-6d. & 372-6-9d. into Bank of England to reconvey Vintners to Jas. Whatman. To use money to pay costs of investment and Chancery costs Redr. to be used for buying lands in Beds. Rec. Whatman pd. money on 19 May, 1782 & (i) & (ii) conveyed Vintners to him on 19 & 20 May, 1782. Rec. of 12/147-9 and 12/152. land of 12/137-8. (Freely acquitted except for 12/140-2 and Lease 12 September 1776 described in 12/143-4. Terms to be preserved in trust for (ii) in trust to attend the inheritance.) Witd.: Hen.
