Their existence is known from the fact that the first folio of the terrier is numbered 3 and in the third column of the text which identifies the page number of the map on which a particular piece of land is shown there are references to map pages 1 and 2 f.24. (blank) Although this folio is blank, it bears some bleed-through from a map of the Mannor of Gravenhurst cum Ion no longer present in the volume. f.25-33 "A terrier of the Lands in the Mannor of Gravenhurst Cum Ion [by Edward Laurence, surveyor] 1719; for description of contents and format see L33/introduction; main details as follows, described folio by folio f.25. Maps and terriers for Maulden Note: Maulden, listed on the title page as following Upper Stondon, would seem from the final summary (f.86) to have been included with Flitton and Silsoe, and details of approximately 8 acres of land in Maulden are included in the Flitton and Silsoe terrier (f.19). It thus seems that there was no separate section for Maulden Terrier of Shillington and Stondon f.40. (originally blank and overuled) A later terrier has been interleaved at this point, of which details are as follows: 'A Terrar of what heretofore constituted Negus's Farm, situate and being in the Parishes of Stondon and Shitlington and County of Bedford, now let with the old Stondon Farm to Mr. William Long.
