Woodhall Grange & app., lately occ. Jn. Barnard, gent.
(All timber res. to (i) & all 'Elderntrees, Willowtrees,
Sallowes and Orles bushes & quicksetthedges', & rt. of way
& hunting, hawking & fowling rights to rt. of (i). Rent to
be pd. at house of (i) in Wrest. (ii) to keep in repair,
including pigeon house, Cotts & hovells, and to 'preseve
a good stock and flight of pigeons within the dovehouse...
and shall provide one or more Saltstone...& other necessar-
yes for the use & preservacon of the said pigeons.' (ii) to
leave Dovehouse in good repair well-stocked with pigeons, and
to leave all fittings includings settles, cupboards & tables.
(ii) to apy 5 for pasture turned into tillage and vice-versa
and to leave '60 storiers, waners or stadles per acre in
woods & coppices. (i) has rt. to enter to search for 'decayes'
within 2 mths. (ii) to repair or forfeit 5. (ii) not to
burn trees or bushes for making 'Mault to sell'- only to use
for fuel & to have hedgeboote of bushes & thorns, stackeboot,
eitherboot & fireboot.)
