    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at 7th Lincoln's Battalion, [France] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer has heard that he is being transferred to the Infantry; - notes that the whole of his company is transferring to the 7th Lincoln's while other men are going to the Notts and Derby and Stafford Regiments; - notes his new number will be 42041 7th Lincoln's - comments he would have rather stayed with his old section, "All of us think its a rotten dirty trick that has been played on us"; - notes they are leaving the camp to go to another to finish their training; - notes he has been packing his things and has had a job to get them all into his valise [kitbag] so has had to leave things behind, "When we were in the balloon section and could put them on the lorries which males all the difference especially when you have a long way to march"; - comments he wishes he was packing up for home and would walk the whole way if they gave him the chance; - notes they have had their paybooks returned and is pleased to say they haven't altered their pay; - wishes he was coming home tonight instead of going where they are going;
